她用了整整三天的时间把这些嫁妆一一查看完毕，便对汉王说道："父王，还缺少一件东西。"汉王心想：你是我为了和亲才认下的义女，按说这嫁妆已经是很丰富的了，怎么还缺东西？于是便问还缺哪一样呀？昭君说，听说草原上的房屋不比这里的皇宫，那屋子虽有门可是不挂门帘，人在外边一眼就能看到屋里，多有不便。父王何不把宫中的门帘送给女儿，一来遮屋挡门为孩儿方便；二来女儿天天看着门帘，也就天天想念家乡了。汉王听后觉得很有道理，便立刻派人去做门帘，并命专使护送门帘，在婚礼那天为昭君挂在门上。
